Phinney Automotive is looking for an experienced transmission installer with your own tools. Work any days or hours that fit your schedule. Choose hourly pay or per-job pay—whatever works better for you.

Duties: Remove and install automatic transmissions Remove/install driveshafts, exhaust, crossmembers, starters, coolers/lines, etc. Fill fluids and finish installation-related work Occasional general automotive repair, but transmission R&R is the main job Experience is helpful but not required. If you have basic mechanical ability, can use tools, and are willing to learn, I can teach you the rest. Shop setup: 3 two-post lifts Independent repair shop Transmission work stays steady Very flexible schedule — hours and days can be worked around your availability No transmission rebuilding required No complicated diagnostics required Looking for someone who is dependable, works safely, takes care of tools and customer vehicles, and can eventually handle transmission R&R without constant supervision.
